A journey that began last year has finally come to fruition! Last summer we received word that several hives and bee equipment were being given away in a town nearby. We called to reserve the equipment and headed down with a trailer as soon as we could. We were blown away by the donation of several hives filled with frames, foundation, a smoker and suit! Literally all we needed was the bees and a few extra odds and ends.  We let the community know about this new project to see if someone wanted to try their hand at managing our bees. Two families stepped forward one with bee-keeping experience and another who wanted to learn! We now have one hive of bees thriving and buzzing around Abundance Acres, pollinating the numerous flowers and crops.
